Services, fees and the application process
Why do fees start at S$199 when other agencies charge thousands?
When K worked at an agency, the application service cost S$2,000. Higher fees and margins came with office space, marketing and extras such as arranging volunteering and writing cover letters.
K believes the focus should be on accurate information, carefully completed forms and thorough preparation. Working independently means K does not have office rent or high marketing costs. K also does not offer premium extras such as arranging volunteering or writing a separate cover letter, so fees can stay lower while the service remains professional.
Do you only submit the application? Do you help with writing?
No. K checks your documents and the information entered, and offers suggestions based on your situation. K reorganises the information you provide, refines how it is presented while keeping it accurate, and sends it to you for review, rather than simply submitting whatever you send.
K also helps write the Details of Achievements where applicable, bringing together your experience and achievements. This overlaps with some of the introductory content of a cover letter, so a separate cover letter is not included.
How much does the service cost, and what is included?
Use the fee calculator on this website to estimate your application fee. For example, the base service fee for a single main applicant is S$199. You can also refer to the service details on the page. K follows the application through each stage: you provide accurate information and review the application, while K helps with document preparation, completing the content, submission and follow-up documents.
When do I pay the deposit and balance? Are government fees included?
Once you confirm that you would like K to help, pay a S$50 deposit and K will start preparing your application. The deposit is part of the total service fee. Pay the remaining balance after submission. Government fees payable when applying are separate from the service fee and are not included.
Do I pay a personal account? Can I use PayNow?
K accepts payments through PayNow UEN into a Singapore company account. This makes bookkeeping and tax reporting easier and payments safer. Transfers to personal accounts carry a higher risk of scams.
Will you help with additional documents after submission?
Yes. Contact K for help if your application needs updated information or additional documents after submission. Reapplications and appeals are not automatically included in this service and need to be agreed separately.
I work during the day. Can we message and submit the application in the evening or on weekends?
Yes. K replies to messages and works on applications in the evenings and on weekends, and can arrange submission then too. If you are busy during the day, you can discuss and review your application with K after work.
Is the application submitted on the ICA website? Can I see the record?
Yes. All applications are submitted through the ICA website. After submission, sign in to the ICA e-Service using your Singpass to view the application record and status.
How is the application submitted? Do you need my Singpass ID and password?
You do not need to share your Singpass ID or password. When submitting, K will send you the login QR code from the ICA website. Scan it with your Singpass app and confirm the login so K can help complete the application.
When scanning, you can see the name of the service you are signing in to. Check that it is MyICA, and do not approve login requests for other services.
Does the fee change with the number of children?
One child applies for free. Two or more children in the same application cost just S$30 in total. For PR or SC, a main applicant, spouse and one child cost S$299, with a S$249 balance; with two or more children, the total is S$329 and the balance is S$279. The deposit is always S$50. Children who are not applying do not affect the fee.
Can you guarantee approval?
No. ICA assesses each application independently, and no consultant can guarantee approval. K’s role is to help you present accurate, complete information. Kawan SG is independent of ICA and is not endorsed by ICA.
PR, citizenship and LTVP applications
Where should I start with my first PR application?
Start by checking your ICA application category and its document requirements. Tell K your current pass type and whether family members are applying with you. K will prepare a suitable checklist once the service scope is agreed.
Does two years as a PR guarantee citizenship?
No. Meeting the relevant criteria allows you to apply; ICA independently assesses each application. K helps you prepare accurate information and does not promise an outcome.
Is an LTVP granted automatically after marriage?
No. Eligible applicants still need to apply for an LTVP and undergo ICA’s assessment. Singapore citizen–non-resident couples may also consult ICA’s Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment (PMLA); PMLA itself is not an LTVP.
